Our Lab Services Provide Accurate Analysis
At the Desert Care Network laboratory, customer service is made top priority by our compassionate professionals.
Our medical laboratory is staffed by licensed clinical laboratory scientists to support inpatient and emergency services. Outpatient services are also provided on-site, as well as at Desert Care Network’s Airway Outpatient Center in Yucca Valley.
Our Lab Services
Under the direction of a board-certified pathologist, our services include the following:
- Blood bank
- Hematology
- Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Immunology
- Urinalysis
- Other pathology testing
The laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists, and licensed by the State of California Department of Health Services.
We use advanced medical technologies, including new hematology and coagulation analyzers to provide timely and accurate data.
Mark of Distinction
Desert Care Network has been awarded re-accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of an on-site inspection.
As part of this national recognition, CAP congratulated W. Stephen Bush, M.D., the laboratory's medical director, for the "excellence of the services being provided.” Desert Care Network is one of the more than 7,000 CAP-accredited labs worldwide.
During the CAP accreditation process, inspectors examined our records and quality control procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also examined staff qualifications, our equipment, facilities, safety program and record, as well as the overall
management of the lab. This stringent inspection program is designed to specifically ensure the highest standard of care for all patients.
